Story

Rome is in crisis. Drought and famine have swept the empire. Unbearable heat, plagues of locusts and disease are prevalent throughout the land. Rivers are drying up and people are starving. Surely we have been cursed by the gods. The scientists say the world is getting hotter, and it is difficult not to agree with them.

The whole land is a tinderbox, we cannot produce weapons in Rome because of the fire risk. I need you to produce some weapons for Rome.

I was not planning to expand south into Africa just yet but my hand has been forced. I need you to establish a strong military presence in Northern Africa so that the empire might expand into new, unspoilt territories. I want you to raise as strong an army as you possibly can, all within 5 years. I will use this army to take control of further territories in the future. I don't anticipate you will face any military threat during this time.

Special Rule for this Contest: Only one barracks allowed at any time.

Intermediate is played on Normal in-game.
Easy is played on Easy in-game.
Please be sure to play at the correct difficulty.
