Contest 55: Dire Straits, a Pharaoh Economic ContestWelcome to the contest pages for Contest 55: Dire Straights This is a Pharaoh contest, and should only be played with the latest version of Pharaoh. Use the links below to download the starting positions: Dire
Straits Easy After downloading, PC players should open the archive with a suitable
programme (e.g. Winzip) Then place

StoryMycenae sits on the South Eastern most tip of the Greek peninsula, and may prove a profitable opportunity if your skills are sufficient. There are major problems with the site, copper, timber and game are plentiful, but access to the supply is via a treacherous mud flat that separates the mainland from your city site. It is prone to flooding each year and, though it will prove fertile, may cause problems for the unwary as will the local crocodile population. Your Mediterranean allies are more than willing to trade, and the prospect
of many Debens to come should spur you on with this task. RulesCompletion Criteria:
A requirement for 99 Palatial Estates is to prevent the victory screen
coming up and should be ignored. Winning Criteria: 1. Treasury as of Dec 9AD Designer's NotesThe second winning criteria will only be used in case of a tie for the treasury figure. A price rise for Granite occurs each December as a reminder to save, Granite plays no other part in this contest. The game should be saved on Dec 9AD with all of the completion criteria met. Easy version players will find a greater starting fund and the trade cities will be more accommodating. This contest was designed by Stringbags and tested by Robroy
and Lady Mags, my thanks for their help. This contest will close at 11PM EST (US), on Tuesday, November 30th. Please note the date!!!! This contest has ended. General Rules | Caesar3 Game Features | Results Copyright © 2000-2010 CityBuildingContests.net.
