For Ten Easy After downloading, simply run the executable and follow the onscreen instructions. When prompted, choose to extract the files to the directory in which Emperor.exe is located (by default C:\Sierra\EmperorROTMK\). Competitors are reminded that the normal CBC General
Rules apply to this contest. Please make sure you play the game from the start at the correct level of difficulty. You can select the difficulty from the game loading screen. The closing date has been extended. Please note the date below! Story"Greetings, noble Lord. Many generations ago, the trading post of Shanqui was abandoned to the Mongol hordes. Now that the Emperor, Shao Weng, has driven them back beyond our frontiers once more, he has decreed that Shanqui must be founded anew. That is where you come in. You must build Shanqui into a thriving trading post. The local people are deeply religious, so you must take care not to offend their sensibilities. Rebuilding the great temple destroyed by the Mongols will go a long way towards gaining their trust and cooperation, but you should take care to appease the heroes they hold in high regard. Just as a precaution, you will need to take care of the defence of the city, by training a cadre or two of troops." RulesAll entries must meet the following completion criteria at the time of
submission: Completion Criteria
All valid entries will then be separated according to the following winning
criteria:
The second criterion is only applicable if the first criterion produces a tie. For example, these three entries would be ranked in this order:
Designer's NotesPlayers should note that the in-game mission goals differ significantly
from There are several differences between the Easy and Hard levels. In addition to the usual differences in starting funds, there are fewer trading opportunities, and fewer buildings available. The Hard difficulty game appears impossible at first, but it isn't (you'll have to trust me on that!). You will need to be creative to achieve the Housing goal. Remember to save your game every December. These annual saves should
not be submitted with your entry, but must be made available if requested.
As a reminder to make this annual save, an increase in the price of Cabbage
is scripted to occur every December. Annual saves should not be submitted
with your entry, but should be made available to the judges on request. This contest will close at 11 pm EDT on Sunday, 7th September. General Rules | Results Copyright © 2000-2010 CityBuildingContests.net.
