Delta Blues : The Story

Life is hard living in the delta, the floodplain may be fertile, but the hippos take our farm workers too regularly.

The constant need to keep Osiris happy is hard on the coffers, but if we don't how will we trade?

To make matters worse, our neighbours are so demanding. They know we can't refuse them, so they make more and more ridiculous demands. The cost of refusal will be the end of us!

Delta Blues: Contest Rules

First, competitors are reminded that the normal CBC General Contest Rules apply to this contest. Competitors are also advised to peruse the list of Pharaoh/Cleopatra game features. A price increase for sandstone will remind you to save your game every December. Please retain these saves in case they are requested.

You may submit a saved game at any time when not in debt, but no later than Jan 7 AD.

Please check the Forum for news about the new game features.

The mission goals (minimum values) to be met in your entry are:

1. Prosperity 30
2. No requests remaining
3. City not in debt
4. Submission no later than Jan 7 AD

The valid entries will then be ranked according to the following winning criteria:

1: Kingdom Rating (Highest wins)
2: Greatest Treasury (highest wins)

Delta Blues: Designers' Advice

This is a Pharaoh game; it can be played with Cleopatra or Pharaoh.
Competitors are reminded that the normal CBC General Rules apply to this contest. Competitors are also advised to peruse the list of Pharaoh/Cleopatra game features.

The mission lasts for seven years. The game you submit must before (7 AD), when the countdown in the top left corner of the screen shows one month remaining.

You are also required to make an annual save every December. You will get a message informing you of an increase in the price of sandstone as a reminder to make this save. You do not have to submit these annual saves with your entry, but should make them available upon request.

The Easy and Hard versions of this game are essentially the same, but all of the requests are lower for easy the version.

Also note that you have to wait until the first flood before dock placement is possible; after the first flood, the inland error message will also clear.
