Saved Cities

For some time I've been trying to improve the appearance of my cities. My goal is to have a city resemble a city instead of various clumps scattered about the countryside.

My new housing block d'jour , when developed and joined to other blocks, seems to me to be a huge improvement over what I have been doing.

I am in the process of re-building all the game cities using these new blocks. I will try to ensure that these cities all have the following features:

They will all have a civic center consisting of a Governor's Palace, Senate, and whatnot. The majority of the city's housing will be clustered about this center.
Whenever possible, all housing willl be small casa or better.
There will be no cultural dumps.
Cheats, end-of-the-year tactics, and other gimmicks will not be used. ( Well, maybe a little when it comes to pacifying the natives.)

I do not claim that these layouts are the last word in city building. I am sure that many of you have bigger, better, and more efficient cities. I just hope that there might be some ideas here that might be of use to someone.
