Connecting Housing Blocks

Here are two housing blocks connected together. There is no reason why you couldn't use three or more. They also do not have to be connected in a straight line.

I have this vision of three or four of these things forming one half of a square. A Governor's palace and assorted ornamental doo-dads would fill the center. The remaining half of the square would be a luxury palace block. One of these days..........

S = small statue
C = Doctor's Clinic
P = Prefecture
F = Fountain
H = Duh???

Notes

These blocks are efficient, almost 70% of the blocks squares are used for housing. The typical 9x9 block, by comparison, uses less than 50%.
The blocks as shown will evolve to medium insulae. To get any higher the garden strips should be replaced with large statues, and the 2x9 housing strips should be broken up into 2 2x4 strips separated by a pair of small statues. Then all that is needed is libraries, barbers, lion pit, and a collosseum.
Service exits should be placed wherever most convenient.Gatehouses are optional. You should make sure that these areas (farming - industrial) have only one connection to the housing block group.
