Insane; village of the "thousand" ware-house’s
May be I shouldn't play Insane!
I needed 3 complied starts, to set Immigration-blocking-bridge to the right place.

My Idea was, to build a small village by Immigration:
Villas, 2 Domus, 2 Insula, Water-reservoir , Odeum, klinic
I also built a normal village with 3 Villas, 5 Domus, 7 insula.
The start was perfect! Beginning of October I got first port and I bought 10 honey (teleporting).
When I had the first Immigrants in my “big” village, I destroyed step by step the homes by immigration.
When I have the 12 honey in my ware-house , I destroyed also the two middle villas.
P was 9 (falling) and C was around 20 coming up.
I got Information I have a new Port (C=25).
I open 2 more ports. Neptune destroyed (beginning of November) my port. But it wasn’t possible to open a new one . When I opened the map, I saw 3 open ports and can do nothing. The game was still running.
I had C more than 25 and later 30; and P 3 and later1. It wasn’t a week or two, I think nearly a month!
I load the last auto-save, same!
I closed C4 and load the save again, same!
Than I got information I had a new port. One ore two of my three villas in the Village had up grated, and P was 7. When I opened now the map, there are no more open port and I can open a port (middle of December).
I go back to the point, when honey is in the Port and destroy the two villas. So I hope Neptune will raze Julia Traianna before I got C=25. I hope, I got the honey out before.
When I got the same problem, I start Hard again.

I raze two villas, 1 domus and 1 insula by immigration.
C=14 (up), P=9 (down) honey is in ware-house (still November)
Raze last insula (628 $). C=19 P=4
Raze last domus. C=24, P=1, Neptune destroy my port
2 villas in village are up grating (? November) BR=7
New Port C=29 (? November)
4 honey in port, change to December.
One more Port, P= 8
80 month save; 334$
Change to January 145 $.
After 1-2 weeks more, seeling 12 honey perfume teleporting. 4945 $.
So it needs around 3 month, to buy and sell 12 honeys!?!?
I don’t remember such a long time before.
I need a rest, to think about all.

Oh my god!
That is a totally different way to play. I think, that is not my way.
I always don’t have enough money.
I’m late with everything, BR, P=40.
I stay now August 321 and it seemed, I see the light of end of tunnel.
When I have time after this run, I play again Hard.

The main-problem for the beginning (special in Insane) is, to give the villas the 5 products and the domus the 3 products, to keep them “minimum-happy”.
Therefore we have to follow a clear concept from beginning on!
I think we should produce grain, buy vegetable, produce glass and oil, and utensils (buying iron).
This we can do with a minimum of cost's for road and bridges and buildings.
I don't produce gold and don't bulit bridges there! I start produce glass in marble-part also without a bridge.

So I had enough money, to buy 12 honey in October 320.

With low tax (or tax-exploit) and high wages, Villas and domus don’t make problems.

I must close two times a villa before they are starting make problems.

Than we can push up the insula’s.

I go back, this boats coming again, but this time they don't go out. I don't have any teleporting in Schwartzius.
I destroy all small bridges in the harbor!!!
I think, the different this time was, they sold and bought something. In the first run I close everything, because I was afraid, I could run out of money.
May be it's stupid, but this remember me a little, about this pathfinding cohorts. For pathfinding is one tile enough to path. When they trade something, they need minimum two tiles to past, like "formation". Without trading the boats still in modus"pathfinding" and they can past again!?!
It sounds stupid, but it seemed to be similar.
I will finish this run without bridges in octagon.

I had a big problem with security. I think I had to much equites.

August 324:
I work wit 6 ports.
The seventh is BR >90 (still not open).
C is a long time constant at 72. It was never higher than 72!
I want to have a reset and open 2 more ports (like I made many times before).
Nothing hapened!?!
I checked all again, 8 ports open, C=72

When your BR went past 80 it may have opened a port for you and if you had 7 open you may have to drop C to less than 50.

No ! That isn't right!BR>80 is my 7th port (and C=72 is not enough for no. 8!!) . So I open 8 ports and all the times before it works, Neptun destroyed all ports, but this time not!??
It come close together with the advice for this 36 month save, may be there is the problem.(??!!??)
Since now, it's more a nother test-run than an end-score-run. I think I got a better result than before, but I also got always new ideas.
For you and gerhardc (you two are the much more better and consequent player than me) I can tell you only one thing: this three-block-wh's arround the door of a port is absolutly important.
For expl.:
I had a big problem with Inka/Furs. The cp running out the door right hand! I placed the 3 wh's left hand the door. the cp always running fare away to caledonia to pick up furs. So I cut the road right hand from the door and cp of Inka had only 6 or 7 tiles, to run between the 3 wh's. This wh's had also road-access from the "back-side" to bring in furs. With this I could sell more than douple furs in the same time!

I do not know what happened. It sounds like you should only be able to open 7 ports. Is your message log available? Can you see if a port opened up from a prosperity one?

You should only have C = 25, C = 50, P = 5 , P= 40, BR = 40, BR = 60 and BR = 80. Since you can open all eight ports something caused it to open.

I pushed up C! With C=75 I got again the last port. I opened , and close again schools and library. C=75, ..., .... 71 nothing hapened.
It was a good run!
I had in August 324 something about 1,400k$. Now in june 325 I have 1,646k$.
I don't give up, 40 k-points are not possible, but may be 35??
My message log is still a long time not available? That is "normal" in the german version. That was still in Iceni Queen.

I change everything! I start again producing gold and untensils (before I still destroyed all). I built 10 new insulas. I got two more "new years" and two more blessings. May be, its enough for 2,200,000$!?

I'm now December 325.
I make only some money all the last month's. (1.684 k$)
Importlimit for wool is 3200, I import wool and grain with pompocity and close all grain-production.
I think now the problem is, I open first wit BR and not with C.
I finish this run and start again. Than I will keep down BR and push up C.
But I think, I can't finish this!

The January wasen't bad, 108643 $ export .
But than again nothing.
I think now resets are much better, boats are coming faster.
I tried since May325 to got BR down, I built everything, including archer, light infantrie, .... I dont come down.

I don't understand you, I have problems, to keep BR<80! I think their is a "time-tricker". If you are fast enough, you don't got all this negatives!?!?

I don't look every second but BR was around 73-74.
So I was surprised, when I got the information “you can open 2 more ports”.I opened 6 ports.
So I go back some weeks, close circus (open but without cars), close the main arena and built 5 drill yards (I had still one).
Than I got the information BR=73 and a second later I got the order, “you can open two more ports”.
I’m in July 324, C=92 , S=57, P=73, F =50, BR=73 and wasn’t higher than this!
What is going on ????

I try to make a reset and open two more ports and built them, ...nothing. BR= 71 and than 70.
There is something with Insane?!?
My PC don't have problems! When I go back and opened "autosave" C4 stops, nothing was possible. I had to make a "cold start".
Many times, when I close C4 normaly, I got information "C4 had problems, you want have a protocoll?"
@alan, @all it's one day and 7 hours since to the end! To start HARD new with every thing, harbour, bridges, .... no!
I finish Insane with the blessings, may be I got some points more than my best score.

Just do the best you can Pantavit. It sounds like there is something buggy with your game because based on your information you should only be able to open 7 and yet you can open 8. Insane did not have a problem for me. To break BR you may have to lower it to 70? When a BR crashed ports on me one time it seemed to take 6 months. Good luck.

That was still the same problem, when I thought in Hard BR is only 75 and C is only 70!

I was calculating, how long I would need for another hard-run, but I still know, I got the same problems. I’m to tired, to start this run, still knowing I got the same problem.
How can I check, I have this patch or not?

The German patch is available. When you open the C4 the version you have shows up in the upper right corner before you load a game. You are looking for 1.2

I finished the last run only with the blessings and the "year-changes" (since 324). So I got 4k more than my last save.

For me it wasn’t so important to finish with a high score.
I really hope it will be enough for the team!

I had a great time here! And I learned a lot about C4 and “come together” and writing English. I’m sure I/we can learn much more, C4 (and AODE-contest's) is like “a never ending story”.

I still have a lot of harms to understand English. When I write/spoke I use 800-1000 words. I learned about 150 special C4 words and with this, I could tell you a lot of things and there was a good chance, you understand.
But, if you write something and I had to understand, you use 20-30000 words! And also short-cuts and jokes. So I need hours to understand and often I misunderstand.

When I know my (?) mistake, I will try it again. Not tomorrow, not next week, I need a C4/”come-together”- holiday.

I’m sure a player like Alan can crack the 70K.
The bottle neck was the cart-pusher in the ports. And I didn’t have enough place around all 6 ports to built this “main-door-incoming-ware-house –block”. So I got a new eye-of-a-needle.(4 ports are waiting for 2 "late" ports)
The three ports, which can teleporting from the immigration-bridge, must not stay in octagon.
In the exotic-trade-circle, are two “contacts” between the immigration-teleporter and the octagon- teleporter .
One is “silk” (between Cathiopolis and Froggo Regius ). There must be only 42 silk transported in one circle!
I found a possibility to use two ware-house-blocks in a row, to transport goods over a long distance. So my idea is, Cathiopolis stay at marble point. The first ware-house –block is on main-land and the second is by the main-door of Froggo Regius (position 3 o clock of octagon). Than follows Schwartzius 2 o clock, Inkatium 12 o clock, Julia Traianna 11 o clock and Caesarea20 9 o clock. Caledonia is in a second row at 1 o clock.
All of this can have the main-door-block service. So in 3 month 2 resets are possible , or in one year 8 (about 70-80 furs/ reset)!
Cathiopolis have two/three ware-house for gold beside. The distance from this place to the good gold-camps is the same or shorter distance than over gold-bridge to octagon.
This two ware-house-blocks for long distance-transports are working in a open/close-technique.
I will trade only exotics and gold and buy vegetable and some raw-materials. I did this in my last run.
With 30-40 villas (900-1200 population) built from beginning on, step by step with 25 insula (3750) and 14 Domus (840/1120). This will help to got very fast P=40.
If it is possible to keep BR lower than 80 and with Bacchus benevolences we can make a lot of tax also. Bacchus fill up the villas every 2 years with 1200 exotics, that is enough for 3 years!
Most of the pleb.’s are working in ware-house’s. I had 100-120 ware-house’s.
3-5 drill-yards will help to give equities work all over the time and we don’t get a security-crash.

I think for all of you, this "missed P=70" wasn't important, because you keep BR down, so you don't built circus etc. With this you kept P also down.

My idea was to stop the last port, with keeping C=75 down and I pushed up BR (and also P, because I like to have the taxe).

It is realy to stupid, when I don't make this stupid, stupid, stupid mistake, we win the team contest.

I had no idea P = 70 opens a port. I should have checked more carefully. Sorry. This is what caused your game to be funny? So not your fault at all but mine. We all had fun though I trust. Please come around CBC and participate in future games. When you have tournament in Germany let me know.
