files for French version Procedure for extracting files- The zip file will contain a number of files (this can vary depending
on the scenario). Firstly, the file with the extension C4s should
be extracted to the directory Saved Games in your C4 installation
(Default location C:\Program Files\Sierra\Caesar4\Data\Save Games). Players should note that game difficulty is pre-set and cannot be altered. The indicated game difficulty may not be the actual game difficulty, due to a bug in C4. In this contest, a condensed version of the story, along with completion and winning criteria, can be found in the Mission Briefing. Story:The Empire is suffering some serious commodity shortages at the moment. Timber and marble in particular are impossible to find. All my cities are crying out for these goods. In addition, my advisors have predicted great shortages of both basic and luxury goods in the very near future. A location has been found where ample resources of marble and timber are available, but unfortunately the location has no other resources whatsoever, and food cannot be grown here either. Nonetheless, you are to establish a city here. Not just any city, I want you to raise a city unsurpassed anywhere in the empire in prosperity, culture, security, and Imperial favor. Creating a silk purse from a sow's ear, you might say. Traders from all over the Empire will come to your city when it becomes known that you can provide the goods they so desperately need. Possibly they will in return assist you with food and other commodities. Our enemies are likely to be interested in your presence as well, so some defensive measures may be in order. The urgency of the task is such that I can allow you no more than five
years to complete the assignment. Good luck, Governor. RulesPlayers may submit entries in any difficulty they wish, and may submit in multiple difficulties. Only the highest adjusted score of each player will be considered. All other entries of each player will be disregarded. Valid current adjusted scores of each player will be displayed in the team forum of that player's team, along with the difficulty level in which they were achieved. Completion Criteria
2 points for each unit of basic goods (pottery, olive oil, clothing, glass) stored (as reported by Resources Advisor). Maximum 2000. 1 point for each unit of luxury goods (furniture, wine, jewelry, utensils)
stored (as reported by Resources Advisor). No maximum (open ended, since
timber is available locally). Difficulty Level Modifier: Scores will be adjusted to the nearest whole point. 0.5 and above will be adjusted upwards, 0.4 and below will be adjusted downwards. Players Failing to Submit: Any player who fails to submit a valid entry will be awarded a score equal to 75% of the lowest adjusted score (not including disregarded scores) achieved by any player from any team who submitted an entry. Team Score: The score for each team will be the average of all adjusted scores of players in that team (who submit entries). Scores awarded to players who fail to submit a valid entry will be included in team score calculations. Use of Exploits Please refer to the forum thread on C4 bugs, cheats and exploits.
